Mr. Strang

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland what was the (i) capital, (ii) revenue and (iii) total allocation made to each of the Scottish health boards in each of the last five years and in the last financial year in constant prices.

Gastroenterology Few or no in-patients waiting more than one year for treatment.
Rheumatology
Urology
General surgery IACC is examining waiting lists for these specialties, and advised that the appointment of a new consultant was not a high priority compared with other districts.
Orthopaedics
Ophthalmology Relatively small impact predicted on waiting lists compared with other districts and specialties.
ENT
Audiological medicines Consultant would work in out-patient and Community clinics and hence have no impact on in-patient waiting lists.

Last year north Staffordshire received £92,000 from the sum reserved from the waiting list fund for districts with particular waiting problems. This sum was earmarked for the T&O, ophthalmology, ENT and gynaecology specialties. This enabled an additional 950 patients to be
