§ Mr. NeubertThe special review of the terms and conditions of dependent locally entered civilians has been completed. As a result, a number of changes are to be implemented and those affecting the majority of dependant employees will be announced in May.
Locally entered teachers (LETs) will receive a pay increase with effect from 11 May 1990, as will all dependant employees. The review highlighted areas in which improvements to LET conditions could be made 115W and work is in hand to define new procedures and introduce them at the earliest opportunity. They will be aimed at providing greater security of employment and improving the status of LETs.
