§ Mr. WaddingtonThe Government remain fully committed to the fight against terrorism, and will continue to play a leading role in the various international bodies of which the United Kingdom is a member in order to666W strengthen and improve counter-terrorist co-operation. The Trevi group provides a forum in which information about terrorist threats and incidents can be passed rapidly between EC member states and agreement reached on effective, practical measures. The United Kingdom also conducts bilateral exchanges with a wide range of countries to strengthen further international co-operation. I recently had such meetings with the Ministers of the Interior for France and Czechoslovakia. I am meeting the Minister of the Interior for Portugal tomorrow, 4 May, and I shall be meeting European Community colleagues collectively at the next meeting of Trevi Ministers in Dublin in June.
