(2) what consultations he has carried out with the staff of the centre for applied microbiology and research, Porton Down, Wiltshire, regarding the proposal to privatise it.
§ Mr. FreemanI met representatives of the staff side when I visited the centre for applied microbiology and research (CAMR) on 22 January, and I subsequently met representatives of the Manufacturing Science and Finance union in London on 21 February. I have also seen the results of a ballot of staff on the question of privatisation.
