§ Mr. MacleanThe Government continue to monitor Cypriot produce as a part of its regular surveillance programme for pesticide residues. The republic of Cyprus also provides us with the results of its own monitoring. Press reports earlier this year referred mainly to levels of residues on Cypriot strawberries, but none were imported by the United Kingdom in 1988 or 1989.
