HC Deb 29 March 1990 vol 170 c297W
Mr. William McKelvey

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will report on the progress of the planning application submitted by Balfour Beatty to redevelop Portland street, Kilmarnock.

Lord James Douglas-Hamilton

The Scottish Office inquiry reporter carried out his accompanied site inspection of Portland street on 16 January. His report in relation to the listed building consent applications associated with the proposed Balfour Beatty development is at present under consideration. I expect to reach a conclusion on these applications very soon.
