§ Mr. Tony BanksTo ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what information he has regarding the level of elephant poaching in Kenya following the decision to enter a reservation on behalf of Hong Kong ivory.
§ Mr. MaudeThe Kenya Wildlife Service does not produce official figures of monthly poaching. The service knows of only three killings in March in Tsavo and, although not all poached elephants are discovered, it anticipates that the total killed for this month in Kenya will be in single figures. During the previous two months we know that 50 elephants were illegally killed in the Tsavo area.
