§ Mr. FreemanWe strongly support the continuation of the advanced informatics in medicine (AIM) programme. The Department has been pressing for an adequate budget through the relevant official committees, and I have written in support to Vice-President Pandolfi, the Commissioner responsible. United Kingdom organisations have made the largest contribution of any EC member state to the present stage of the programme, and we wish to see this continue.
