HC Deb 27 March 1990 vol 170 c160W
Mr. Harry Greenway

To ask the Secretary of State for Employment whether a decision has yet been made on a special annual quota for the current year of work permits for workers from the dependent territories whose level of skill is below that required by the general work permit scheme.

Mr. Eggar

The arrangements for a special annual quota are kept under review. I can confirm, however, that it has been decided that there should be a quota for 1990 of 200—the same as last year. Within that figure of 200 no more than 150 permits will be allowed for any one territory.
