§ Mr. ChopeFollowing the announcement on 22 February to defer implementation of part VIII of the 1989 Act until 1 July, the local authority associations have been consulted on the draft regulations for the test of "resources" for owner occupiers and tenants. They have subsequently been consulted on a draft direction and associated guidance on the test of resources for landlords. Once their comments have been received and considered we will finalise the regulations and circulars relating to part VIII for issue as soon as possible thereafter.
