asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they will ask the Federal Republic of Germany to raise, in the course of their discussions with the German Democratic Republic, the continued military support being given by the GDR to the Ethiopian regime, and the resulting intensification of the suffering of people in Eritrea, Tigray, Wollow, Wollega and Hararghe arising from the military operations of the Dergue against the people of these territories.

The German Democratic Republic announced that they ceased supplying military equipment and other assistance to Ethiopia in December 1989.
