§ Mrs. Gillian ShephardDisabled students will retain entitlement to most social security benefits on the same basis as now, including attendance allowance and mobility allowance. We propose that those students who meet the criteria for the disability premium will continue to be eligible for income support and housing benefit. Students who have received income support as a disabled student prior to the introduction of the new arrangements in the next academic year, will also retain eligibility to these benefits. We further propose that all full-time students will be excluded from unemployment benefit.
