§ The Minister of State, Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (Baroness Trumpington)Nominations for membership of the Consumer Panel were sought from the Consumers' Association, the National Consumer Council, the Consumers in the European Community Group, the General Consumer Council for Northern Ireland, the Scottish Consumers Council and the Welsh Consumers Council. Members are however appointed to serve in a personal capacity and not as representatives of their nominating organisation.
