To ask the Prime Minister if she will continue to seek to secure the release of Ian Richter from detention in Iraq.

I assure my hon. Friend that our efforts to secure the release of Ian Richter on humanitarian grounds are continuing and will continue. Mr. Richter's case remains a cause of deep concern, as we have made clear to the Iraqis on many occasions.
