§ Mr. Peter WalkerAs foreshadowed in my statements on I and 13 March, at columns 403 and 143 respectively, about the flood disaster in north Wales, the Government will be making contributions totalling £150,000 to the disaster funds.
This contribution will be met from savings on class XVII, vote 5, and the cash limit for the vote has been reduced accordingly from £268,972,000 to £268,822,000. As a result, the contribution will not add to the planned total of public expenditure.
