To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment (1) what was the number of housing association units for rent approved by the Housing Corporation within the London boroughs, under its block three (new) programme in each of the years 1985–86, 1987–88 and 1988–89, with figures to be apportioned between newly built and rehabilitated units and with hostel and shared housing bedspaces to be itemised separately;

(2) what was the number of units for rent within the London boroughs completed by housing associations, where funding was through housing association grant dispensed by the Housing Corporation in each of the years 1985–86, 1986–87, 1987–88 and 1988–89, with figures to be apportioned between newly built and rehabilitated units and with hostel and shared housing bedspaces to be itemised separately.

(2) what were the total numbers of housing association units for rent within the London boroughs that were approved by his Department for housing association grant, block three, where the funding authority was a local authority not the Housing Corporation, for each of the years 1985–86, 1986–87, 1987–88 and 1988–89, with figures to be apportioned between newly built and rehabilitated units with hostel and shared housing bedspaces to be itemised separately.
