§ Mr. AshleyTo ask the Secretary of State for Employment whether his Department has details of the hours worked by disabled people who, because of their disability, are unable to work full time but do work part time.
§ Mr. EggarI regret that information on the hours worked by registered people with disabilities is not 135W available. The study commissioned by my Department, of all people with disabilities in the labour market, will provide comprehensive information about their numbers and characteristics.
§ Mr. AshleyTo ask the Secretary of State for Employment if he will make a statement on the reasons for the delay in publishing his internal reviews on employment services for people with disabilities.
§ Mr. EggarThe preparation of the consultative document which will give the results of the review is almost complete. It will be published as soon as account can be taken in it of the results of the survey of people with disabilities in the labour market which my Department has commissioned. We currently anticipate that this will be during the course of June 1990.
§ Mr. AshleyTo ask the Secretary of State for Employment if, pursuant to his answers of 30 November 1989,Official Report, columns 381–82, and 14 February, Official Report, column 152, he will make a statement on the publication of his Department's survey of the employment of economically active people with vocational handicaps.
§ Mr. EggarThe fieldwork has been completed on the survey of people with disabilities in the labour market which my Department has commissioned. The results are expected to be available shortly.
