To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he will arrange for a test for the BTE breathalyser device to be carried out by the organisation which validates the accuracy and reliability of similar machines used by the police and for the results to be published and distributed to all police authorities.

We have no knowledge of the BTE breathalyser device. If my hon. Friend is able to provide further details of the device, such as the name of the manufacturer, we will make inquiries.
