HC Deb 12 March 1990 vol 169 c91W
Mr. Nellist

To ask the Attorney-General what information he has as to the number of firms in (i) England, (ii) each English region and (iii) each district council area of Wales of certificated bailiffs; and how many operatives they employ.

The Attorney-General

The Lord Chancellor's Department is not responsible for the employment of certificated bailiffs and the information sought is not kept. Each county court is, however, required to exhibit a list of bailiffs who have been granted a certificate to levy distress for rent by a judge of that court.
