(2) whether his Department will consider modifying the application of the community charge towards bed-and-breakfast accommodation.
§ Mr. Chope[holding answer 6 March 1990]: My right hon. Friend has received a number of representations on this matter. He has no plans to modify the proposals for the treatment of bed-and-breakfast accommodation for the purposes of the community charge and the new business rate which were given effect by the Standard Community Charge and Non-Domestic Rating (Definition of Domestic Property) Order 1990 [SI No. 162], which came into force on 2 March.
