§ The Attorney-GeneralThe average period between a committal and start of hearing for all defendants whose cases were completed in the Crown Court in 1989 was 12.5 weeks. This compares with 14.3 weeks in 1984 and 17.6 weeks in 1979. Information is not available for individual offences.
