§ Mr. AtkinsFor safety reasons. Although the first phase of resurfacing is limited to the dual carriageway sections, we need to prevent overtaking and excessive speeds on the intervening single carriageway. This reduces the risk of accidents at and approaching the working areas. The resurfacing will shortly transfer to the single carriageway. We shall then start central reserve safety fencing installation on the dual carriageways.
