§ Mr. Peter BottomleyMy right hon. Friend the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food announced on 13 February that he had submitted to the European Commission for approval the United Kingdom proposals for the allocation of the extra 1 per cent. quota.
The proposals include allocation to new entrants; to small producers; to producers in remote areas; and to producers whose tribunal awards had not been granted in full because insufficient quota was available.
