§ Mr. Portillo[holding answer 26 June 1990]: I have today placed a table in the Library showing for each charging authority the value of the all ages social index for 1990–91, described in annex A to the revenue support grant distibution report (England), together with its rank in England, and the equivalent figures for 1989–90, described 288W under indicator C9 in the rate support grant report (England) 1989–90. The values of the indicators cannot be compared directly.
