Further to the Answer given by Earl Ferrers to Baroness Phillips on 4th June (H.L. Deb., col. 1079), how many expatriates are entitled to vote in United Kingdom general elections, broken down according to country of current residence.
The Minister of State, Home Office (Earl Ferrers)The table gives an estimate of the number of British citizens living in each country who are likely to have spent less than 20 years there. The figures may include people who left the United Kingdom more than 20 years ago, or who were not registered as 1609WA electors in the United Kingdom when they left as adults, and so do not qualify to register as overseas electors.
