My right hon. Friend the Prime Minister is satisfied with the degree of co-ordination between Government Departments over the future of science at the natural history museum.
I understand that the museum is in discussion with the Government's chief scientific adviser and the Office of Arts 164W and Libraries about its position in relation to the United Kingdom science base. The Minister for the Arts has indicated that he will be calling a further meeting with the chairman of trustees and the museum's director to discuss the natural history museum's corporate strategy and these wider issues.
