To ask the Lord President of the Council when the revised arrangements for considering EEC legislation will be implemented; and if he will make a statement.

In the light of the House's forthcoming debate on the Procedure Committee's report on the scrutiny of European legislation and the Government's response to it, the Government will table motions to make the necessary detailed amendments to Standing Orders. The Government hope that the new arrangements will operate from the start of the next Session.
