§ Mr. GristThe Department has announced a number of initiatives directed to the problems of housing in Wales. In particular, last autumn we announced for the current year a 40 per cent. increase in the provision for Housing for Wales, a 15 per cent., increase in the gross local authority provision for housing and generous provision to support home renovation grants. Details of current policies and plans for housing programmes are given in chapter 4 of "Public Expenditure in Wales: 1990–91 to 1992–93 A Commentary by the Welsh Office."
