§ Mr. John PattenMy right hon. and learned Friend the Home Secretary indicated in the Second Reading debate on the War Crimes Bill on 19 March that the unit would not be set up before the Bill received Royal Assent. On 14 June another place declined to give the Bill a Second Reading. The Government now intend to reflect on all aspects of the issue before taking any decision on further action.
