§ Mr. Douglas Hogg[holding answer 7 June 1990]: When United Engineering Steels Ltd. was established under the Phoenix II plans the Government provided £55 million of funds through BSC. Government money was not given to BSC under the Phoenix I plans, the corporation's interests being funded internally.
