§ Mr. MellorOur attention has recently been drawn to deficiencies in AM radio reception in parts of Scotland. This would have affected reception of the BBC's Open university and other educational programmes following their transfer to the new Radio 5 service in August of this year. In the areas concerned the BBC will continue transmitting these programmes on FM until the AM problem is resolved.
