§ Mr. DarlingTo ask the Secretary of State for Scotland if he proposes to award any further contracts to private security companies to provide security services in respect of Government buildings in Edinburgh in the years 1990 to 1993.
§ Mr. Rifkind[holding answer II June 1990]: The Department of Agriculture and Fisheries for Scotland will shortly invite tenders for security services at one of its scientific establishments. I have no other proposals under consideration, but I shall review the position when the existing contract for services at four offices expires in 1992.
