§ Mr. DorrellPrecise information is not collected centrally. However, it has been estimated that there are about 1 million diabetics in the United Kingdom of whom about 200,000 inject insulin. The International Glaucoma Association estimates that glaucoma of some type is found in about 2 per cent. of the population over age 40.
