Friend the Chancellor of the Exchequer announced a 115 per cent. increase in Government grant to London Regional Transport for the three years to 1992–93, which is sufficient to allow them to invest £2.2 billion. I am of course unable to anticipate the contents of this year's Autumn Statement.
