§ Mr. RobertsThere is no evidence that the introduction of local management of schools will lead to a reduction in the number of teaching jobs. Local management of schools of itself in no way affects the overall amount of money available within authorities for school education. It simply represents a more open way of distributing the same resources to secure better educational value for money.
