§ Mr. CurryDuring 1989 a total of 11.977 tonnes of raw tobacco was imported into the United Kingdom from other parts of the European Economic Community.
§ Mr. Teddy TaylorTo ask the Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what price is received by tobacco manufacturers for production in the European Economic Community; and what price is charged by the intervention boards for export of such tobacco to nations outside the European Economic Community.
§ Mr. CurryThere is no information available on the price received by tobacco manufacturers for products containing Community-grown tobacco. A wide range of prices is received by the intervention boards for tobacco sold out of intervention by tender. These prices depend on the tobacco varieties involved as well as on their quality. The following table shows the range of prices received for these tobacco varieties most frequently sold into intervention.

§ Mr. CurryNone, in the sense of full-time officials, although a departmental energy efficiency manager has been appointed who spends approximately half his time on this function. A substantial number of staff throughout the country are responsible for good energy management as part of their overall buildings management duties. The time spent is linked with other work and cannot be quantified separately.
§ Mr. DobsonTo ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will give for each year from 1978 the energy consumption, broken down by fuel, of the buildings occupied by his Department, expressing the figures in(a) cash terms, (b) 1978–79 money terms and (c) units of consumption for electricity in kilowatt hours, gas in therms, liquid fuel in litres and solid fuel in tonnes.
