To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Science how many representations he has now received about the student loan scheme.

Since the publication of the White Paper on top-up loans for students we have received about 5,900 letters, including petitions. Of those, about 1,570 have been received since publication of the Education (Student Loans) Bill.
