To ask the Secretary of State for Social Security if he will review the operation of and procedures for medical assessments for benefits to disabled people.

Mr. Scott

We regularly monitor the operation of the current procedures and take action as appropriate. We are considering what changes are needed to these procedures for the new disability allowance. Our aim is that these should be helpful, and accessible to claimants.
