To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food whether he has made representations to his counterpart in the Danish Government concerning the recent slaughter of whales and dolphins in the Faroe Islands.

When the International Whaling Commission met this July I again made plain my concern to the Danish authorities about the traditional pilot whale hunt in the Faroe Islands, particularly in relation to improving the humaneness of the hunt.
