§ Mr. EggarMy right hon. Friend has no plans to alter existing arrangements for school terms and holidays which allow for their determination by LEAs and school governors. He is aware of current interest in some schools in the possibility of introducing a four term year. He recognises that this would have major implications for many beyond the schools which would require very careful consideration.
