§ Mrs. Virginia BottomleyYes. The conclusions of the report of the Department of Education and Science, "Committee of Inquiry into the Quality of Educational Experience of Under Fives", will be taken into account in the Children Act guidelines on day care services for pre-school children.
§ Ms. ArmstrongTo ask the Secretary of State for Health what consultations his Department has held in relationship to quality in the guidance relating to part III of the Children Act 1989.
§ Mrs. Virginia BottomleyGuidance under part III of the Children Act 1989 will be the subject of a wide-ranging consultation exercise. This process has commenced and comments will be welcome on any aspects of the draft guidance within the next three months.
