To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will make a statement about the transfer of housing under the tenants' choice provision of the Housing Act 1988.

Tenants' choice continues to help improve the quality of management on local authority estates, by offering tenants a viable alternative which in turn has encouraged local authorities to look much harder at the service they provide.
