To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what guidance is being given to school governors in respect of the making of economies by(a) employing fewer teachers, (b) employing younger teachers or teachers of a lower level on the incremental scale, (c) refusing to allocate the full complement of promotional allowances, (d) not appointing teachers to provide substitute cover for absent teachers, (e) delaying the appointment procedure to replace a teacher who has retired or resigned and (f) excluding from appointment consideration teachers of child-bearing age.
