To ask the Secretary of State for Transport what information he has as to by how much rail fares in south Yorkshire are due to be increased, from what date, and the reason for the increase.

Fare levels on local rail services in south Yorkshire are a matter for the passenger transport authority and executive. I understand that an increase is planned but that the details have yet to be finalised.
