§ Mr. Michael SpicerWe are about to commence a detailed evaluation of the impact of deregulation and that will include an assessment of the number of tenancies so far created. There are already clear signs of increased activity in the residential letting market. We estimate that £535 million has so far been invested in business expansion scheme companies letting on assured tenancies, which should provide some 9,500 additional homes for letting.
