§ Mr. WakehamThirty per cent. of the new gas contracted during the period 1 June 1989 to 31 May 1990 was sold to purchasers other than British Gas. Of this 30 per cent., 98 per cent. was sold to the power generation market. The remaining 2 per cent., or about half of 1 per cent. of the total gas contracted in the monitoring period, 269W was contracted for sale to the general industrial and commercial gas market. Actual deliveries of new gas to industrial and commercial customers by suppliers other than British Gas were very small during the monitoring period.
