§ Mr. ForthThe English tourist board operates the "Crown" classification and grading scheme for serviced accommodation. One of the main objectives of the scheme is to improve the quality and range of services and facilities offered to the customer. About 11,000 establishments in England are already participating in it and more are joining all the time. Over half of the participants have applied for a commendation for quality, a new optional feature of the scheme.
