§ Mr. Douglas Hogg[holding answer 19 July 1990]: The siting of investment is a commercial matter for the company. Many overseas companies, particularly in the car and automotive components sectors, including Ford, have invested in the United Kingdom, attracted by the favourable climate for business created by the Government.
