HC Deb 19 July 1990 vol 176 c708W
Mr. Hinchliffe

To ask the Secretary of State for Health what is the total interest-bearing capital debt for Wakefield health authority.

Mr. Dorrell

Wakefield health authority does not have an interest-bearing debt. In common with all district health authorities, it is required to value its capital assets in order to introduce capital charging from April 1991–92. All directly managed units will include capital charges—equivalent to interest and depreciation—in their revenue costs, and consequently in the prices charged to purchasers of services.
