§ Mr. AtkinsFollowing a public inquiry between June and November 1988 into the draft proposals for a bypass of the A34 at Newbury, my right hon. Friends the Secretary of State for Transport and the Secretary of State for the Environment are announcing their joint decision tomorrow. I have arranged for my hon. Friend to receive a copy of the decision which is being sent to all those who submitted objections and representations to the draft proposals and to those who attended or were represented at the inquiries.
